History & Background

Nilgiri sits at roughly 3,000–3,500 feet on the Bandarban–Thanchi road and is run partly as an Army-managed resort/viewpoint. In monsoon season the hilltop is often engulfed by clouds rolling below the viewing decks, giving the site its name and reputation as one of the most photographed spots in the Chittagong Hill Tracts.
