History & Background

Established in 1997 for Nepal trade and opened to India trade in 2011 and Bhutan trade in 2017, Banglabandha is the only Bangladesh land port with active four-nation (Bangladesh-India-Nepal-Bhutan) trade, separated from Nepal and Bhutan by the roughly 52 km India-controlled Siliguri Corridor.
