History & Background

Excavated in 1924 by the Assam Bengal Railway to supply water to its steam locomotives, the lake was named after railway engineer Mr. Foy who oversaw its construction amid the forested hills of Chittagong. It remained a scenic railway reservoir for decades before a private company developed the surrounding hills into Foy's Lake Concord Amusement World in the late 1990s, adding rides, a water park, and paddle boats around the original colonial-era lake.

Highlights

  • Paddle boating on the colonial-era lake
  • Amusement park rides
  • Water park (Foy's Lake Water World)
  • Wooded hills surrounding the lake
