History & Background
Sada Pathor, literally "white stones", is part of the Bholaganj stone-quarry landscape in Companiganj upazila, north of Sylhet city. The Dhalai River enters Bangladesh from the Meghalaya hills here, carrying pale stones and sand that have shaped both the local economy and the area's tourism appeal. While Bholaganj has long been known for stone collection and the old ropeway area, Sada Pathor has become one of Sylhet's most popular short trips for its shallow clear water, bright stones, and border-hill scenery.
