Faridpur

Faridpur is a historic south-central district of Dhaka Division, known for riverine settlement, Sufi heritage, agriculture, and trade. It covers 2,052.86 km² and had a population of 2,162,879 in the 2022 census. Faridpur town is the district headquarters and a major commercial hub in southern Bangladesh.
