History & Background
Construction began in 1863 by Haji Bakir Ali Ahmed and Haji Muku Islambag and was later extended by descendant Wazir Ali Ahmed and his sons; the mosque has 5 domes, minarets, and marble ornamentation, and remains an active, well-preserved landmark near Saidpur Railway Station.
