Joypurhat

Joypurhat is a northern district of Rajshahi Division, known for agriculture, borderland markets, sugar and mineral-related industry, and its proximity to major Buddhist archaeological sites. It covers about 965.44 km² and had a population of 956,431 in the 2022 census. Joypurhat town is the district headquarters and an important local administrative and trade center.
